Veneers are an excellent way to redesign and reshape the smile. The process only takes approximately two to three visits. A veneer is a thin ceramic shell that covers the front of a tooth and it is designed to make the tooth look nicer. The shell will also repair cosmetic or structural blemishes on the front of a tooth. The most common reasons for replacing the front of a tooth are staining, cracks, spaces, misalignment and chipping. A benefit of a veneer restoration is that it requires minimal tooth reduction and preparation. A disadvantage of a veneer is that it is not as strong as a full crown restoration.
